Industrial Hoses

Industrial Hoses are heavy duty connectors which unlike the typical garden hose are built to deal with a variety of dangerous and corrosive liquids that are often used in industry. The required level of quality and durability of these hoses is absolutely essential, without it the liquids would leak and not reach their intended destination, while possibly exposing people to dangerous chemicals. Some of these hoses are made of weak PVC, similar to garden hoses, however other hoses are reinforced with steel in order to maintain its use even when using harsh chemicals. There are also a number of resistances that are built into the actual hose, in order to survive acid or alkali damage or any done by hydraulic or lubricating oils. Strong Industrial Hoses are built in order to withstand 4 main factors; mechanical tension, extreme temperatures, chemical contact and high pressures.

Industrial Hoses are used for a number of different industries; this includes Aircraft, Chemical, Petroleum, Fire Engine Suction, Marine/Industrial, Military, Food Industry, Water/Jetting, Dock/OS&D, Dredge, Coupling and Accessories.

This level of resistance needs to extend to the fittings which keep the hoses connected to the components that they are delivering the liquid to. It would be no good, after all if the entire hose was reinforced and there is a weak link which the liquid simply spills out of.

These fittings include Hose couplings, which are used to connect one hose to another, ot to add hose appliances to the end. Bellow Connectors allow lateral, axial or angular movement between two pipes. Stainless steel hoses aren’t suitable for this kind of coupling. The number of convolutions depends on the amount of movement required. In a similar manner, larger convolutions allow for more elasticity. Bin activator seal connectors are used to connect powder/hopper bins to a bin activator that will vibrate while stimulating powder flow. This vibration needs a flexible link in order to maintain the powder. These seals reduce excessive tension to the hopper; in turn this increases its lifespan.
